UFA. The government of Bashkortostan, a Russian republic southwest of the Urals, is in talks to implement several investment projects to develop agriculture in its north-eastern regions, said the republic's agriculture minister, Ernst Isayev.
Jordan's Alrai Limited has agreed to build a plant to process grain into gluten, starch and biopolymers.
Talks are also underway with Denmark's Arla Foods and Finland's Valio to build a dairy and cheese plant in Bashkortostan.
